Peter Denyer

Peter Denyer - Chairman
Peter Denyer is a Director and Non-Executive Chairman of Dexela. Peter founded and built the Vision Group, the Edinburgh-based creator of CMOS Imager chips used widely in digital cameras and has gone on to help a number of technology companies. He currently serves as Non-Executive Director for the ERA Foundation and is Non-Executive Chairman or Non-Executive Director of several technology companies.

Roman Janer

Roman Janer - Senior Vice-President, Product Development
Roman Janer has over 25 years experience and success in R&D, product and business development and extensive operations and technical management experience in medical imaging. He has unrivalled experience in product development and business development in the field of analogue and digital mammography, having served in senior positions at all three US digital mammography vendors: Fischer Imaging (CTO, SVP R&D, SVP OPS), Hologic (VP, Digital Technology) and Lorad (VP, Research and Development). At Hologic, Roman worked with Jack Cummings (now Hologic CEO) to develop a worldwide digital mammography business around the Selenia product. He assisted in all aspects of Hologic with a focus on harnessing value of digital systems for Hologic through business partnerships, including the key Siemens deal. Today, Selenia has a 56% market share in the US digital mammography market.
Accomplishments:
• Revived sales and credibility of Lorad - initiated digital mammography program
• Achieved FDA Pre-Market Approval (PMA) for Lorad full field digital mammography system
• Key senior team member in the acquisition of Trex Medical (Lorad) by Hologic
• Introduced more than 12 new products at Trex Medical, representing more than 90% of the current sales and resulting in the company achieving leadership market share in mammography (Lorad division)
• Accelerated implementation of modern design tools and training
• Achieved significant cost reductions (> 30%) in core products, resulting in high gross margins
• Introduced several new high-power X-ray generators and digital imaging systems
• More than 40 new X-ray products introduced representing more than 90% of Picker International’s (acquired by Philips) X-ray divisions annual sales
• Developed 5 year Strategic Product Line Plan
• Participated with senior management in due diligence in several key business acquisitions
• Improved engineering development efficiency by implementing cross-functional product development teams
• Searched out and negotiated strategic partnerships in both business and technology areas

Steve Naday

Steve Naday - Chief Technical Officer
Steve led the world renowned detector group at Argonne National Labs in Chicago before founding Aviex LLC. Aviex makes some of the highest performance X-ray detectors in the world, with growing sales in Europe and the US and strong gross profit margins of over 70%. Steve will lead Dexela’s technical development projects, applying his experience in technical management and product development. He also brings world-class X-ray detector and electronics expertise to the team.

Greg Paul

Greg Paul - VP Sales and Business Development
Greg brings over 15 Years experience and success in global OEM sales and business development of software solutions and services throughout the medical imaging industry. Having served in senior positions at Merge OEM (formerly Cedara Software) Greg brings extensive experience across a broad range of applications including x-ray acquisiton systems and IT solutions applied to diverse clinical applications.
Greg has a broad knowledge of market dynamics throughout the industry and is experienced in structuring and negotiation of complex supply agreements with major vendors.
Accomplishments
• Negotiation and closing of multi-million dollar long term supply agreements with key OEM's around the world.
• Pioneered move into digital x-ray market segment, instrumental in solution design, closed first agreements in digital mammography and DR.
• Spearheaded move into PACS securing first European OEM agreements.

David Taylor - Financial Director
David was previously FD at X-Tek. X-Tek makes digital real time X-ray imaging for industrial and R&D applications. X-Tek was acquired by Metris in December 2007.
With over 20 years experience in hi-tech industry, Taylor has worked in a variety of financial and commercial roles including spells with Hadland Photonics and Itek Colour Graphics, both of which won Queens' Awards for Enterprise (Innovation) during his tenure.
A chartered accountant by training, he first qualified whilst at Ernst and Young and has also worked within the Vickers Group.

Spencer Gunn

Spencer Gunn - Software Development Manager
Spencer is a founder of Dexela and has led the development of Dexela's software portfolio. Spencer previously co-founded Connectotel Limited, a UK company specialising in infrastructure software. He has more than 15 years commercial experience covering many fields including retail, industrial and medical.
Accomplishments:
•Developed and implemented an innovative inventory software solution for a multi-national in the retail sector.
•Developed and brought to a global market internet access restriction solution
•Worked with Professor Kopans at MGH to develop the first Tomosynthesis workstation
•Led the development of DexTop Dexela's FDA approved Mammography Workstation
•Delivered the first commercial realization of Dexela's iterative reconstructor
