As a result of our continued success, we are growing steadily and are pleased to announce a vacancy for the position of Senior Software Engineer.
Due to the complex and highly technical work involved it is important that the successful candidate should satisfy most, if not all, of the following requirements:
Good A levels or equivalent.
High quality undergraduate degree (ideally 2:1 or above), or equivalent, in an Engineering, Mathematics or a Scientific discipline.
Min 3-4 years experience in C++ or C# programming, ideally in commercial R&D environment.
Experience in any of the following would be an advantage: Computer Vision, Image Processing, Medical Imaging, 3D Graphics, Iterative Non-Linear 3D Reconstruction, Inverse Problems.
Experience with quality system (e.g. ISO, FDA) software practices would be useful but is not essential.
Experience with GUI design, programming (e.g. Windows Forms, VB.Net) would be an advantage.
Should be able to work independently with the ability to learn new skills or information quickly and confidently.

Electro-Optical Engineer
Due to the complex and highly technical work involved it is important that the successful candidate should satisfy most, if not all, of the following requirements:
Experience: 5+ years
Ability to conduct research and plan development and design of semiconductor based imaging devices and systems.
Ability to design analogue, mixed signal and digital electronic circuitry and optical components with specific characteristics to fit within specified mechanical limits and to perform according to specifications.
Experience of designing suitable mounts for optics and power supply systems.
Experience of incorporating methods for maintenance and repair of components and designs, and developing test instrumentation and test procedures.
Ability to confer with engineering and technical personnel regarding fabrication and testing of prototype systems, and to modify design as required.
Experience in X-ray physics, scintillator materials and mechanical CAD systems (SolidWorks) is desirable.
Other desirable skills:
Ability to conduct application analysis to determine commercial, industrial, scientific, medical, or other use for electro-optical devices. Also ability to assist with development of manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication processes.

Optical-Mechanical Engineer
Due to the complex and highly technical work involved it is important that the successful candidate should satisfy most, if not all, of the following requirements:
Experience: 3+ years.
Experience of developing mechanical designs for large area X-ray detector systems, optical coupling methodology for scintillators and silicon-bases solid-state imagers to perform according to specifications.
Experience in thermal design and analysis is a plus. Strong knowledge of 3D CAD software is a requirement.
Ability to design suitable mounts for optics and complete packaging of electro-optical systems.
Experience of incorporating methods for maintenance and repair of components and designs, and of developing test instrumentation and test procedures.
Ability to confer with engineering and technical personnel regarding fabrication and testing of prototype systems, and to modify design as required.
